The opening ceremony also marked the launch of the Global New Energy Empowerment Center, the Global Energy Storage and Battery Council, and the Global Energy Storage Diversity Innovation Challenge. The creation of the Global New Energy Empowerment Center heralds the emergence of an international empowerment platform that "connects the world, and the world connects you." This reflects the call of our times and the needs of the industry, and it is poised to become an ecological hub for efficient resource exchange and industrial collaboration. Located in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, a hub for global new energy companies, the Empowerment Center focuses on six core functions: project development and targeted resource matching; capital introduction and investment and financing services; technology incubation and industry implementation; industry training and standard setting; partnerships with international media to promote brand globalization; and shared business spaces, gradually forming a comprehensive new energy empowerment platform integrating procurement, supply, and commerce.

The Global Energy Storage and Battery Council was jointly initiated by the Asia-Pacific New Energy Industry Association and the European Energy Storage Industry Association. It aims to create a high-end platform that gathers global wisdom and consolidates the strength of all parties, promotes the implementation of projects, expands product applications and market promotion, and injects strong impetus into global cooperation and development of the energy storage and battery industry. It will jointly respond to the opportunities and challenges facing the global energy storage and battery industry and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the energy storage and battery industry.

The "First Global Energy Storage Diversified Innovation Challenge," jointly initiated by ACWA Power, SNEC, and CBC, has officially launched. The competition aims to build an open and collaborative platform, inspiring global innovators to explore new scenarios, models, and solutions for the integrated application of energy storage and hydrogen energy, and to contribute their wisdom to solving core challenges in the energy sector. During this critical period of global energy transition, energy storage and hydrogen energy should not be viewed as either-or competitors, but rather as a golden partnership, collaborating and complementing each other's strengths. The purpose of the "Global Energy Storage Diversified Innovation Challenge" is precisely to actively promote the formation of this "complementary and win-win" ecosystem.

In addition, to commend leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the development of energy storage and battery technologies and to encourage continuous innovation and coordinated development of the entire industry chain, the Global Energy Storage and Battery Council (in preparation), the European Energy Storage Industry Association (EAEST), the New Energy Industries Association of Asia Pacific (NEIAAP) and the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA) solemnly launched and held the "Global Energy Storage and Battery Leader" selection event, and held a grand award ceremony at the opening ceremony of the "SNEC 2025 International Energy Storage and Hydrogen Energy Conference and Exhibition".

The conference featured numerous high-end technical forums focusing on key topics such as key energy storage material technologies and intelligent equipment, energy storage safety and standardization, new energy storage system design and solutions, the green hydrogen industry and ALK/PEM/AEM/SOC hydrogen production electrolyzers, hydrogen storage and transportation, and the comprehensive utilization of hydrogen energy. Other seminars focused on the application market included the Second International Summit Forum on the New Power System "Source-Grid-Load-Hydrogen Storage" and the Second Energy Storage & Hydrogen Industry Investment, Financing, and Sustainable Development (ESG) Finance Summit, aiming to attract investment and capital, building a bridge between industry and capital.

The three-day "SNEC 2025 International Energy Storage and Hydrogen Energy Exhibition," held from October 10th to 12th, featured a splendid display across the entire industry chain. From upstream materials and equipment to midstream system integration and manufacturing, and finally to downstream diversified applications, leading companies from every link in the supply chain collectively appeared, presenting a vibrant panorama of the industry ecosystem.
